On the performance of October 11, Heidi Stober lost her voice at the intermission between Acts II and III.She mimed the role on stage for the remainder of the performance while Nikki Einfeld sang the role (not in costume) from down stage right.

Following the performance on November 2, Principal Cellist David Kadarauch was awarded the San Francisco Opera Medal in honor of his retirement.
