10/30/1936: live broadcast, partial performance. Author, Marcia Davenport is the on-air commentator for the 1936 NBC broadcasts.  "La Juive, Act II: Giovanni Martinelli, Elisabeth Rethberg; Gaetano Merola. This rarely performed work is preserved in good audio quality with Company mainstays Martinelli and Rethberg. Merola borrowed the orchestra parts from the Metropolitan Opera who had presented the opera during the previous season with the same two stars."
