Notes

After the originally-scheduled Aida, Antonietta Stella, cancelled all three of her scheduled performances of "Aida," two of them were taken over by Leontyne Price, who had planned to sing the role later in Europe. Thus, Leontyne Price's first Aida, and one for the history books. 

The third performance was taken over by Leonie Rysanek. 

The performance of October 23 had the following heading: Twelfth Anniversary of Ratification of the United Nations Charter in the War Memorial Opera House, San Francisco
